Sour Cream Coffee Cake Mix
This Sour Cream Coffee Cake is my favorite baking mix recipe for coffee cake. It turns out every time and the mix makes it a snap.
To make mix:
2 C. sugar
2 C. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
Mix together and place in storage container.
In a separate baggie combine:
½ C. chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 c. sugar
To make cake:
Dump mix into bowl and add:
1 C. butter (softened)
2 eggs
1C. sour cream
½ tsp vanilla
Mix well and spoon ½ of the batter into a greased tube pan. Sprinkle with ½ of the topping (in baggie), then spoon the rest of the batter on top and finish with remaining topping. Pull knife through batter and bake at 325 for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Let cool completely before serving.
This is a great gift mix recipe. Just load it up in a jar, baggie, or other container, add a tag with directions and you have a cute, fun, and practical gift!
