Homemade Pencil Holders

These homemade pencil holders are easy to make and inexpensive too. They are a fun and useful project for anyone and would make cute homemade gifts.

Find an appropriate container. If using a can, make sure that there are no sharp edges, then decorate as you would like using scrapbooking paper, spray paint, ribbons, buttons, beads, vinyl lettering, etc. Make it fun - be an artist.

For the pencil holder with the buttons, I just punched two small holes in each side, near the top of the container, to thread the craft wire through. My boys threaded the buttons on the wire and had a great time. You could do the same thing with some cute beads and spray paint the container and it would be a totally different look. There are so many possibilites with these quick crafts, I just wish that I had more places to put them.
